The 100 Club of San Mateo County has learned with great sadness of the death of veteran Hayward Police Sergeant Scott Lunger on the morning of July 22, 2015. Sergeant Lunger, a 15 year veteran of the Hayward Police Department had been recently promoted to the rank of sergeant. He was shot and killed at about 3:15 a.m., during a traffic stop of an erratic driver.
The 100 Club of San Mateo County wishes to express our condolences and deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Sergeant Lunger, along with the entire Hayward Police Department and the Law Enforcement profession for this loss.
